What a wonderful day my friend Ursula and I had. It is so nice to catch up and just hang out with no kids. I didn't bring my camera today. We just enjoyed our lunch and walked through some of our favorite stores.

My days have been consumed by this. I love to scrapbook. Although I don't get to do it as often as I would like. It seems once you get started and get it all out its time to clean up. So this week I left it out and actually got a couple of pages completed. I've decided to start making more time for it. More me time. I don't know about you but it seems everyone else always comes first and if there is time left for me then I do something and usually by then I am too tired. Well no more. Even if its for only 10 minutes I am going to get something done.

Today I organized our pantry. It's not something I enjoy doing, however once it is done it is so nice. Well at least for the few days that it lasts that way.

The girls giving loves! Alexys has always been very cuddly. It is so nice that Samantha is starting to do the same thing. She was giving her sissy and daddy loves for quite a few minutes. So sweet!

Every morning this week is Alexys' classes turn to sing in front of the school at assembly. They really enjoy it. The song they are singing is A Tootie Ta, A Tootie Ta Ta. It is quite funny to watch. She also got asked to lead the school in The Pledge Of Allegiance. I was surprised she said yes. She did a great job!

Samantha took her first steps today. She has been walking furniture for a few weeks now. Here and there she will let go and stand for just a moment. I haven't really pushed it since once she gets going she will probably be on the run.

Today I didn't really do much with the exception of making our monthly trip to Costco. It was raining so I didn't want to take my camera with me. I will either get the picture another day or just use my receipt in my scrapbook.

Today was Pajama Day for the Kindergartener's at Alexys' school. They were all so excited. They got to bring one of their stuffed animals too. She chose her little pig that Grandma got her for Christmas. They also got to watch a movie and eat popcorn. Kindergarten is so much fun!

We've been walking in the mornings for a couple of months now. I haven't lost any weight but I love getting that time to talk with my friends.

The rain came in today. I actually love this weather. Living in Southern California we don't really get a winter like the other states do unless you live in the mountains. It's nice just to sit and watch the rain. Have some hot chocolate, snuggle and watch some tv.

Inauguration 2009. Today our 44th president took office. I believe it's a day of hope and a day of change. I was helping in Alexys' kindergarten class today and her teacher turned on the tv so that the class was able to watch. This is such a historical event. I hope she is able to remember this day forever.

Every morning we walk daddy to the door as he leaves for work. The girls like to go to the window and wave to him as he drives down the street. This morning Pepper decided to do the same.

One of our favorite places to eat finally opened in our town center this weekend. We have lived here for almost 7 years with only a couple of your average fast food restaurants, a Coco's and an IHop. Boy are we excited for some new places to be opening up and not having to drive into another city to eat. Jeff and I took the girls out to dinner Saturday night. It was packed but the line went by really fast. Then we enjoyed our dinner on the beautiful patio outside.

Three times a week a couple of my neighbors and I walk. This morning when we met outside we happen to see a hot air balloon going past our street. It's not something that we normally get to see so I grabbed my camera and decided to take a picture for todays image. I am always facinated by the balloons but don' think I would ever go up in one. I am not that brave anymore.

Tonight was bunco night. Once a month 12 of us ladies get together at someone's house to have a night out. This month it was my turn. I made the gals chicken enchiladas, salad, chips and salsa and dessert. This month I chose a valentine's theme. We each purchase a gift and at the end of the night we do a white elephant gift exchange. We have a great time.

Today is laundry day! I hate to do the laundry. My husband always tells me if I get it caught up he will take the job over. I know as well as he knows that will never happen. It is never ending. Even at the end of this day I had done all the laundry and by that night the basket was already full. This day I did 3 loads of darks, two load of lights, 2 loads of towels and the dog throws and girls bedding. Whew what a day. No wonder I was exhausted!

What a busy day we had. Today is all about Alexys. Tuesday is my day to volunteer in Alexys' kindergarten class. I asked her teacher if she minded if I took some pictures of it and she didn't so away I snapped. The kids were quite wild today. Mrs Kitabjian said it was because of the high winds we were having. I thought that was funny.
One of her favorite things to do is to swing. I try to get her to do other things on the playground but this is it for her.

After school we went to town to pick up Samantha from grandma's care. We stopped off at Build a Bear for her to use her gift certificates she has been saving for a long time now. She spied this monkey in an ad we got in the mail last week. She is so cute pink with hearts on her. After this we stopped for some lunch. I love spending this special time with my girls. Hopefully they are memories they too will cherish forever.

Today we were outside with our neighbors and our girls were playing together. Samantha is still too little to get out there with them but she was watching them from her stroller. I love this thing she does with her nose. She crinkles it up and usually she sniffs in and out. So sweet I want to remember this forever!

CJ is quite the gamer. As soon as he gets up from this seat Samantha is climbing in to grab the controller and play too. She thinks she is hot stuff!

This is one of the many new reptiles our boys have brought home. Alexys is just as excited about them as they are. He started on her arm and was crawling up!

Our main fridge went out 3 weeks ago. Luckily we do have an extra one in the laundry room. However it is your basic fridge with no icemaker and no water dispenser. Today the repair man was finally here to fix it. Boy was I excited to get a glass of ice. The things we become accustomed to. Thank you Mr. repair man and thank you fridge for working so hard for us!

Week 1 of photo a day

I decided to start a new project this year. Its called Project 365. It was created by Becky Higgins from Creating Keepsakes Magazine. You take a picture a day for a year and scrap them weekly. I am so excited to get this started.

Teenagers and Texting. Brian is quite the texter. Even more now since Aunt Angela gave him her old phone that has a keyboard for typing. I so am getting one of these the next time we renew our cell phone contract. Day 2/365
